The world number one was crowned for the second time at Roland Garros and increased her winning streak to 35 consecutive victories.

The Polish Iga Swiatek is unstoppable as she has not lost a single tournament in which she has participated since February this year, the last player who managed to beat her this 2022 was Jelena Ostapenko In the month of March, Iga became number 1 on the WTA circuit and no one has been able to take her off the top.

After two weeks of tournament play, the Grand Slam ladies' final was played on Saturday afternoon in the French capital between Swiatek and Coco Gauff. The match lasted just over an hour and the score was 6/1 6/3 in favour of the Pole. The world No. 1 was crowned for the second time at Roland Garros and increased her winning streak to 35 consecutive victories, surpassing Serena Williams' record of 34.

On the other hand, the ladies' doubles final was played on Sunday between the French duo of Caroline Garcia y Kristina Mladenovic who defeated by a score of 2/6 6/3 6/2 to the Americans Coco Gauff y Jessica Pegula.

The WTA tour will continue in Europe during the months of June and July on clay and grass surfaces. At the end of June, the 3rd Grand Slam of the year, Wimbledon, will be played and in August the tournaments will move to North America.
