Guadalajara, Jalisco, 22 de Octubre 2022.- La brasileƱa Beatriz Haddad Maia y la kazaja Anna Danilina, dieron la gran sorpresa al derrotar a la mejor pareja del mundo, y se clasificaron a la gran final de dobles del GDL Open Akron.
Con gran determinaciĆ³n y motivaciĆ³n, Haddad y Danilina, derrotaron por 6-2, 5-7 y 10-7 a las checas Katerina Siniakova y Barbora Krejcikova, en la repeticiĆ³n de la final del Abierto Australiano, aunque con resultado diferente.
El primer set transcurriĆ³ en 26 minutos en el cual Krejcikova y Siniakova se mostraron descontroladas y perdieron cada una su servicio, ante el desempeƱo perfecto de sus rivales, que llegaron con gran actitud ganadora, luego de haber superado en cuartos de final a otra de las parejas fuertes como Coco Gauff y Jessica Pegula.
En el segundo parcial, las campeonas de Australia, Wimbledon y del US Open, tuvieron una buena reacciĆ³n y se fueron al frente 3-1 con quiebre sobre Danilina a quien le cargaronĀ el juego.
