Su aguerrido temple y el gran corazĆ³n que imprime en cada encuentro, le valieron una vez mĆ”s para buscar el tĆtulo del Ćŗltimo torneo master del aƱo y confirmar el cariƱo que el pĆŗblico mexicano le tiene.Ā
La jugadora de 33 aƱos de edad saliĆ³ con todo a la cancha del Estadio Akron y rompiĆ³ el servicio de Keys, encargada de iniciar el encuentro de tercera ronda.Ā
En cambio, la estadounidense mostrĆ³ dificultades con su servicio, dos dobles faltas en el tercer juego del partido la alejaron del marcador y fue hasta el cuarto juego que dijo āpresenteā al romper el servicio de la bielorrusa y registrar su primer juego.

Guadalajara, October 20, 2022.- Belarus Victoria Azarenka advanced to the quarterfinals of the GDL Open Akron 1000 by defeating American Madison Keys 6-4, 6-7 (4), 6-1 in 2 hours and 14 minutes.
With her characteristic hustle and heart, āVikaā lived to fight another day in her quest for the title of the last WTA 1000 event on the calendar in return for all the love sheās received from the Mexican fans.
The 33-year-old player didnāt waste time in the court of the Estadio Akron a immediately broke Keysā serve.
The American struggled with her serve, double faulting twice in the third game to fall in a deep hole. She finally won her first game when she broke Azarenkaās serve in the fourth game of the first set.
Keys made it two games in a row to reduce the deficit 3-2, but Azarenka kept hitting her shots to hold her serve and a 4-2 lead.
Visibly affected by the high temperatures, both players avoided playing long points and needed only 36 minutes to play nine games.
